TPU Technology

The world's only inflatable brand that develops and manufactures its own Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) material. Here's why it matters.

Comparison

TPU vs PVC: Material Comparison

Why leading outdoor brands are switching from PVC to TPU

PropertySamtopia TPUTraditional PVC
Weight30% lighter at equivalent thicknessHeavier due to material density
Durability80 N/mm tear strength, 3x more resistant25-30 N/mm tear strength
Temperature Range-30°C to +60°C operationalCracks below -10°C
Eco-Friendly100% recyclable, no plasticizersContains phthalates, not recyclable
OdorOdorless — no off-gassingChemical smell, requires airing
Lifespan8-12 years with proper care2-3 years typical

Engineering

Drop-Stitch Engineering

The structural secret behind a flat, firm sleeping surface

Drop-Stitch construction uses over 4,000 polyester fibers per square meter, connecting the top and bottom TPU layers at precise intervals. When inflated to 7 PSI, these fibers create a rigid, flat surface capable of supporting 500 kg — unlike traditional air mattresses that bow or sag under load.
